Morphe X Jaclyn Hill The Master Collection Brushes Review

Jaclyn Hill surprised us once again by announcing a brush collection collaboration with Morphe that released in late August. I love Morphe brushes and needed a new set of brushes specifically for traveling so I purchased the entire collection for $165. The collection came with a square hard cover glitter case that fits all the brushes making it super convenient for traveling. Inside are 24 synthetic and natural hair brushes. The collection is a mix of brushes Jaclyn designed herself and some of her existing favorites from the brand.

As mentioned before, I already owned quite a few Morphe brushes and I can honestly say I have never had any issue with them. That being said, I have had a very different experience with the Morphe X Jaclyn Hill brushes. I purchased the collection back in August with plans to use the set when I traveled this past week. When I used the brushes I noticed right away how much they were shedding. Before I would dip the brush into a product, I had to remove a couple bristles that were sticking out. I thought it might have just been an issue with the natural hair brushes but both the synthetic and natural hair brushes shed. The foundation brush (synthetic), powder brush (synthetic), and the bronzer brush (natural) all got a few bristles on my face after application. I love the way the brushes perform but the shedding drives me nuts! I have never seen so much shedding from brushes before. Morphe's return policy of a defective item is within 30 days of the purchase which is a real drag since I waited awhile to use them, my time to try and get another set is up. I hope after I wash them a couple more times the shedding stops! Has anyone else had this issue?
